At the 6th Street School of Music we believe that positive motivation and sensitive guidance help every student achieve musical success. The goals of the 6th Street School of Music are to provide an environment suitable for the instruction and enjoyment of music. Music lessons are designed to meet specific needs of each student including a balance of technique, theory, computer technology, sight-reading, ear training, and repertoire appropriate to the student´s level of proficiency. Students are always encouraged to participate in programs designed to further these goals, such as recitals, competitions, festivals, and adjudication programs through local and national music organizations.
